Leaving a Legacy of Volunteer Work -
Juliette Frank's Story
As a volunteer at MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital’s Children’s Therapy Unit (CTU), retired special education teacher, Juliette Frank, has seen just how much a skilled, compassionate specialist can do to help a child with challenges. Juliette assisted David Embrey, PhD, a physical medicine/rehabilitation specialist, as he employed behavior modification therapy to treat a young boy with attention deficit disorder (ADD) and explosive tantrums. During their time together, the boy improved his ability to stay on task, gained essential social skills and learned to tame his destructive temper.
Working alongside this inspiring doctor and seeing his dedication led Juliette to become a member of the Legacy Circle by making a bequest in her estate plans. She hopes her gift inspires others to make a legacy gift to the CTU — and ensure that children with special challenges get the therapy they need to thrive.
