Volunteer Opportunities

It is the philosophy of MultiCare Health System’s Volunteer Program that the volunteer experience is more rewarding when volunteers get the opportunity to choose an assignment they have an interest in and enjoy. There are hospital, clinic, community and special event volunteer options. Volunteer roles are available with focus on our patients and visitors at our hospitals, clinics and in the community. Special events contribute to our services to patients and the community by supporting fundraising events. Below is a list of our areas of opportunity:

Behavioral Health - Provide peer counseling to older adults and assist with filling a number of supportive roles for administrative staff. Provide support by rounding and interacting with residents through helping with crafts, games and other fun activities.

Career Services - This volunteer program is an affiliation between the Community Based Transition Program and MultiCare Health System. The program exists to create volunteer opportunities for CBTP students (individuals with disabilities) to identify interests and skills which lead to the development of occupational goals and employment skills.

Celebrate Seniority - Celebrate Seniority members volunteer in the community while building friendships with others.  Assist with helmet and life jacket fitting, blood pressure screenings, Grannie’s Attic Thrift Shop, quilting and crafting groups and clerical support of the Celebrate Seniority office.
