The $5 million investment from the community will support the following areas:

Dally Tower Expansion

Good Samaritan Hospital frequently operates at close to or full capacity. Finishing the top two floors of Dally Tower will add 80 beds to the hospital's current capacity. Philanthropic support will provide added comfort and safety elements to patient rooms such as pull-out beds for guests, soft and adjustable lighting, healing artwork and safety lifts.

Obstetric (OB) Addiction Unit

The number of women who suffer from alcohol or drug addiction while pregnant is growing exponentially. There are only four OB addiction units in Washington, all with very long waiting lists, that offer specialized care for pregnant moms with a chemical dependency. Good Samaritan will create the fifth program in the state: an 18-bed unit for pregnant mothers who seek help for drug or alcohol dependency. The unit will provide the following services in one setting to improve health outcomes for both mother and baby: immediate access to prenatal and medical care, medical detoxification/ stabilization and chemical dependency treatment. Read Devin's story to learn more about how this unit will help support healthy families.

Education Center

Good Samaritan Hospital has always been a leader in health education and training. A new, state-of-the-art education and conference space will support ongoing education for health care providers, as well as programs and classes for new parents, smoking cessation, weight loss, addiction and recovery. Donors to the campaign will fund the cost of building a new, 1,350 square foot education center at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Children’s Therapy Unit Endowment

Mary Bridge Good Samaritan Children's Therapy Unit (CTU) is home to a team of renowned pediatric specialists who provide therapy to more than 2,500 children a year. The donor-funded CTU Endowment funds physical, occupational and speech therapy services, customized equipment and home adaptations, education for families and caregivers, counseling, staff education and research. Growing the CTU Endowment will guarantee that children with special needs will receive the help they need for years to come.
